Congratulations to Jake who won the most original costume award in the Oak Class! He dressed up Milhouse from the Simpsons! Good job Jake!
We're having so much fun today! We've just had a fantastic time playing games outside with the Ash and Chestnut class! Today we got to come to school dressed up! We have some scary costumes, some funny costumes and lots of princesses!
Now is the time to plant daffodils! Daffodils should be planted in Autumn so last week, in the Oak Class, we made some really colourful junk art plant pots! Today we planted daffodil bulbs! We're going to keep an eye on them and hopefully we'll start to see them sprouting in the Spring! All the Oak Class would love to say a big thank you to Stephanie who visited our class and helped us plant our bulbs! Meet Rocky the pumpkin! Today in the Oak Class we made our own Jack O' Lantern and we named him Rocky! We had great fun!
'Rocky is my friend!' - Seun 'Rocky is my best buddy!' Maxim 'I love you Rocky!' - Molly 'Rocky is nice!' - Talia 'We had to take out all of the seeds!' - Keelin 'We made Rocky from a pumpkin!' - Leo 'We had to take out all of the fruit!' - Arshia 'He's nice!' - Kola 'We put candles inside Rocky to make a light!' - Jesse 'Rocky is sweet!' - Selin 'Meet Rocky at Halloween!' - Isabella 'Rocky is the best pumpkin in the world!' - Zak 'We made a hole in Rocky for his eyes, nose and mouth!' - Ambrose 'Rocky is so good!' - Bana 'Rocky is everybody's friend!' - Aaren 'Rocky is lovely!' - Jake 'Rocky is cool!' - Kyle 'Rocky is my best friend in the entire world!' - Benjamin As part of maths week the Lime class visited us and helped us make art using different shapes! We all had a great time and made some fantastic art! Thanks Lime class! On Monday maths week started in Powerstown Educate Together! We put our maths eyes on and went around the school looking for maths in our environment! We found so much! Next week is Maths Week in Powerstown Educate Together! We would like to invite parents into our classroom next Wednesday (13th October) from 8:30 - 9:00 for 'Maths for Fun'. There will be games and activities happening in the class and we'd love some parents to come help us! If you think you could make it, please drop me an email at [email protected]!
